Dr. Kathy Connell was raised in Northern Illinois. She graduated from the University of Illinois in Veterinary Medicine in 1993. Dr. Connell then completed a surgical internship at Petersen & Smith Equine Hospital in Ocala, Florida. In 1994 she joined Don Ryker, DVM and Associates in Ortonville, Michigan where she worked for 15 years. Kathy moved to Eugene and joined Del Oeste Equine Hospital in August 2008. Dr. Connell became a partner in the practice in 2018. Kathy likes the variety found in the ambulatory practice. In her free time, she enjoys woodworking, working on her home with her husband, drawing, and wild truffle hunting with her Labrador Retrievers. (Source)
