Dr. Katherine Lesko grew up in Charlevoix, MI and will graduate from Michigan State University (GO GREEN!) in May, 2021 with her DVM. She started at West Branch Veterinary Services as an intern in 2019 and 2020. Katie’s passions in veterinary medicine include cardiology, feline medicine, equine wellness, and acupuncture. Species that are close to her heart include cats, horses, pocket pets, and wildlife. Additionally, she enjoys working on honeybee health!
Katie enjoys spending time with her husband and family, fishing, hunting, gardening, looking for morels in the spring, running, and painting. She currently has a mixed breed 1 year old dog, named Reagan, a kitten named Frank, and a mixed breed puppy named Woodford.
Beyond veterinary medicine, her second dream is to establish a Christmas Tree Farm in Northern Michigan, in addition to having a small flock of sheep. (Source)
