Katy Barglow

Katy is an accomplished trainer and competitor in addition to being a USEF “R” Judge, and a National Examiner for the United States Pony Clubs. Her greatest joy is bringing horses and riders up the levels. With young horses, she has won the CDS Futurity, been selected for the Scott Hassler Young Horse Training Sessions and as a demo rider for the CDS Ingrid Klimke Clinic. She has trained and competed muliple horses through the FEI levels, including two to Grand Prix and eight through Prix St. Georg/Intermediare I. Her students have shown through Grand Prix earned many USDF medals, and been successful at Young Riders and CDS Championships. Katy is currently competing at Intermediate I and schooling Grand Prix with her Lusitano gelding Scout.

In her “other” life, Katy is a PhD Biochemist, a VP at a small Biotech company and mom to her 6 year old son, Ian. She lives with her husband, son, 2 retired horses, a herd of rescue cats, and a pond of 15 fish on a mini-farm in Walnut Creek, CA. (Source)
