Kayla Kownurko

Dr. Kayla Kownurko grew up in a Philadelphia suburb where she rode and worked at a local hunter barn. She graduated from Temple University majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Spanish and Women’s Studies. Dr. Kownurko obtained her veterinary education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Her equine veterinary interests include emergency and critical care. Post- internship (when she grows up) she would like to pursue an equine surgical residency. In her free time, she enjoys running and lattes, in that order. (Source)
