Keith E. Brown, DVM

Dr. Keith Brown’s undergraduate education was obtained from Otterbein College. He then attended The Ohio State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2001. Upon graduation he completed an internship at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital. Afterwards he completed a three year residency program in equine surgery at Michigan State University and became a Diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2006. He returned to work at Rood & Riddle from May 2005-July 2006, at which time he moved back to Pennsylvania and started Brown Equine Hospital with Dr. Jennifer Brown in 2007.

Currently Dr. Brown spends the majority of his time working on standardbred race horses. He is also very well known for performing upper airway procedures in draft horses. In his spare time Dr. Brown and his family compete in draft horse pulling competitions. He also trains a few standardbreds each year for racing. Most importantly, the majority of his free time is spent with his wife and three children, daughter Hailey and twin boys Tommy & JR. (Source)
