Kendall Willson, DVM

Kendall had the amazing opportunity to study veterinary medicine and surgery at the University of Glasgow in Scotland, United Kingdom. Her main interests and emphasis during vet school included both equine and bovine medicine. When she had any free time from school, Kendall enjoyed playing polo for the University and traveling to new places throughout Europe.

Throughout veterinary school, Kendall went on many externships with equine and bovine practitioners to gain knowledge and experience in the field she wanted to enter into upon graduation.

Kendall has spent that last two years at a large animal practice in Smith Valley, Nevada where she became advanced in equine lameness and proficient in pregnancy checking cows and bull reproductive work such as, semen and Trich testing. She also enjoys dental work on equids and is an advocate for preventative medicine. She also spent a small amount of time working on small ruminants and camelids.

Before veterinary school Kendall earned her Bachelors of Animal Science at California State University, Chico. During her studies at Chico, she took many opportunities to be actively involved with the University Farm, by taking milking shifts at the organic dairy and working at the sheep and goat unit.

Kendall was raised in Vacaville California, which is where she first starting riding horses and found her passion for large animal medicine. Currently in Kendall’s free time she enjoys spending time with her husband Dave, waterskiing, running and spending time outdoors . She is very excited to be joining the Mendocino Equine and Livestock team and is looking forward to meeting all of our clients. (Source)
