Dr. Krystle Hutsel grew up in Missouri. By the time she was 12 years old she knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. She attended the University of Missouri and received her BS in Animal Science as well as her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Hutsel completed an internship at Arizona Equine Medical and Surgical Centre in Gilbert, Arizona.
Her main veterinary interests include small animal internal medicine (especially Diabetes cases), oral health and surgery, as well as ultrasound and emergency treatment. She knows colic in horses can be frustrating, but enjoys the diagnostic challenge and getting them to feel better. Dr. Hutsel supports the Equine Special Olympics and has volunteered at the event for several years. Aside from work, Dr. Hutsel enjoys hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and reading. She is happy to call the East Mountain area “home” with her family. (Source)
