Lara Stephens-Brown, DVM

Dr. Lara Stephens-Brown grew up on a hobby farm in Skandia with horses, goats, and a few too many chickens. She attended Michigan State University and rode on the MSU Dressage Team while pursuing an Animal Science/Biochemistry degree. Dr. Stephens-Brown is a 2018 graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine where she focused on equine and small animal medicine.

Dr. Stephens-Brown just completed a competitive, year long equine medical and surgical internship at Ocean State Equine Associates in Rhode Island. After working under residency trained medical and surgical clinicians on the East Coast, she is excited to serve her hometown community. She enjoys equine and canine sports medicine, metabolic disease management, and geriatric care. Now that she is back home, she has her own little hobby farm with her husband, Toño, where they have two Morgan geldings, a mutt named Maisie, and two goats that keep them busy. In her free time, she likes to camp, knit, and keep up with the indie rock music scene. (Source)
