Laura McKeown, DC

Dr. Laura McKeown was born and raised in Northumberland County. Dr. McKeown holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree with an Honours in Kinesiology from Ontario Tech University, formerly the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. She holds a Doctor of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC). Dr. McKeown completed her first year of University at the University of New Brunswick Saint John. She then transferred to the University of Ontario Institute of Technology where she enrolled in the pathway program to the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Dr. McKeown completed her Animal Chiropractic studies at the Veterinary Chiropractic Learning Centre in Brantford, ON while in her fourth year at CMCC. The Animal Chiropractic Certification is a hands-on course with over 220 hours of study, with a focus on equine and canine health. Dr. McKeown started working full-time as an Animal Chiropractor in December 2020.

From an early age Dr. McKeown knew she wanted to work with animals. When she found out she could combine her passion of helping animals with her interest in health sciences, Animal Chiropractic was the perfect fit!

Dr. McKeown has always been an animal lover. She began horseback riding at the age of eleven. She was an active member of the Arête de Chêne pony club for years and received her D2 riding level. She competed in many local shows, the Prince Philip Games and Le Trec.
