Dr. Hilburger grew up outside of Buffalo, NY. Throughout her childhood, she had many pets, including cats, dogs, horses, rabbits, chinchillas, cockatiels, and lizards, which she attributes most of her desire to become a veterinarian. She completed her undergraduate degree at Penn State University and then attended vet school at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. With a long-lasting desire to move out west, she decided to move to Colorado to practice veterinary medicine. In her free time, Dr. Hilburger enjoys skiing, horseback riding, running, cycling, crossfit, and exploring beautiful Colorado! She lives in Denver with her Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Owen, and her cats, Meeko and Hazel. (Source)
