Lindsey Johnson, DVM, DACVS

While completing her bachelor’s degree in biology at Ithaca College, she was a catcher for the varsity softball team, and participated in undergraduate research with Dr. Jean Hardwick, Ph.D. in the field of neuronal regulation of cardiac function. She then attended The Ohio State University for her veterinary education.

During veterinary school, Dr. Johnson worked with Drs. Ramiro Toribio and Katarzyna Dembek in research projects focusing on equine endocrinology and neonatal sepsis, and she presented portions of these studies at the Merial-NIH Veterinary Scholars Symposium.

Upon matriculation from her academic veterinary training, Dr. Johnson completed a rigorous hospital internship at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, KY where she was able to further cultivate an ever-growing interest in equine surgery and a love for the Thoroughbred racehorse. (Source)
