Lise Andersen, DVM, CVMA

Lise grew up showing hunter-jumpers in Monument, CO until attending University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. After earning a bachelor degree in electrical engineering and working for a leading anesthesia monitoring company, she decided to leave the corporate world and pursue her dream as an equine veterinarian. However, first she spent over two years in the Peace Corps as a mathematics teacher in Malawi, Africa. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM) in 2001 from Colorado State University.

Lise purchased Rocky Mountain Equine Clinic from Dr. Jack Galt in 2006 upon his retirement. She has furthered her skills by becoming certified in animal acupuncture and completing her International Veterinary Chiropractic Association exams.

In Lise’s spare time, she successfully competes with her Border Collies in Sheepdog trials all over the country. She also maintains a sheep herd. (Source)
