Loretta A. Berkland, VMD

Dr. Loretta grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She attended the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Animal Physiology. She was accepted into veterinary school at University of Pennsylvania, where she met Dr. Danial Berkland while he was visiting on a small animal rotating internship. She graduated with a Veterinary Medical Doctor Degree in 1983 and began working at the Shannon Veterinary Clinic in Southeast, Iowa. In the summer of 1984, she married Dr. Daniel Berkland and together they purchased the Sibley Veterinary Clinic. Her areas of interest are equine and small animal medicine. (Source)
