Dr. Arguelles is from the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas. He graduated from Texas A&I University in Kingsville, Texas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science and a Master of Science degree in Animal Science / Biology. He was accepted to The Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduated with his DVM in 1993 and went to work in Kentucky. After two years in Kentucky, he came back home to Texas and settled in Castroville. After working at a breeding farm for 2 more years, he and Dr. Baker opened Alamo Area Veterinary Clinic in 1997. He only practices on horses and has a special interest in equine reproduction, lameness and sport horse arthroscopic surgery. (Source)
