   Luke has been my farrier for about 18 years now, and he does a great job. He fixed a problem that a previous farrier had created by cutting the hoof at a bad angle. The horse was unable to even walk without a lot of pain, so Luke came out every 2 weeks to trim and shim until the hoof was good again. My current horse oversteps with her back end and forges a lot (slams her rear shoes into the front ones as she walks). It was real bad, but Luke was able to figure out how to make shoes that trail a bit on the back, and break over early on the front. She doesn’t forge at all anymore. I highly recommend his service, and he’s a real nice guy and easy to work with also.
