Lyndsy M. Gieche, DVM

Dr. Lyndsy Gieche developed a passion for veterinary medicine while growing up in her father’s equine practice in Wisconsin. Her volunteer work with therapeutic riding facilities, Horse Spirit Society on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation and other veterinary clinics helped to nurture her love for animals and the detective work and science incorporated in veterinary medicine. She completed her undergraduate curriculum at the University of Findlay in Ohio, earning her Bachelors of Science in Biology with a degree in biology and animal science, an emphasis in pre-veterinary medicine and a minor in chemistry. She then moved to Columbia Missouri to complete her veterinary schooling at MU-CVM.

After veterinary school, Lyndsy completed an internship at Bend Equine Medical Center, a large equine referral practice in Bend, Oregon. During her time there, she further developed her passions for equine general practice, emergency medicine, internal medicine, and surgery. Lyndsy enjoys all aspects of equine medicine, but has particular interests in ophthalmology, internal medicine and emergency rescue. (Source)
