Mackenzie Hudson

Mackenzie Hudson’s passion for horses began at the young age of four, when she started riding under the guidance of esteemed riders and trainers, including the McElvin’s, McAllisters, and Daniel Bedoya Jr. Throughout her equestrian journey, Mackenzie has always been drawn to jumpers, and she began her jumper career at just thirteen years old.

Mackenzie’s hard work and dedication paid off when, at age seventeen, she competed in her first Grand Prix. Two years later, at nineteen, she was placing in her first FEI classes and 3* World Cup Qualifiers. Since then, she has won several competitive classes, including a 1.35m Grand Prix at the Split Rock Jumping Tour, and received a Top 5 Circuit Award for the 1.45m High Amateur at the Winter Equestrian Festival in 2020.

Mackenzie’s commitment to excellence has also earned her a spot in the Top 10 Nationally ranked Amateur Riders in both 2020 and 2021. In addition to her own achievements, she has spent a significant amount of time working with young horses. In 2019, Mackenzie received a scholarship to show with Rancho Corazon, where she impressed trainers with her potential and was granted the opportunity to work with and compete on their up-and-coming young horses.

After turning pro in 2022, Mackenzie is now focused on sharing her knowledge and experience with aspiring riders, as well as training young horses to reach their fullest potential. Outside of equestrianism, Mackenzie has always identified as an athlete, having been a decorated gymnast and cheerleader. She is now pursuing a certificate in Personal Training to develop more well-rounded riders by working with them both on and off the horse. (Source)
