Maddy Brown

Maddy Brown is the head trainer here at The Farm at One Under Lane. She brings with her a strong background in equitation, training, and horsemanship. As a junior, Maddy was a working student for Jennifer Sansbury at Circle A Plantation and later for Laurie Occhipinti of Grand View Ponies. At Circle A, Maddy learned strong horse and barn management principles from Jennifer, who went on to be the head barn manager at St. Andrews University. At Grand View Ponies, Maddy trained, rode, and showed young Welsh and Welsh Cross ponies from their first rides to the “A” circuit. There, she learned about proper training, preparation, and show horse care. Also as a junior, Maddy competed in hunters and equitation at local through nationally rated horse shows on her own mounts and catch-rode horses owned by some of the industry’s top professionals such as Peter Pletcher, Elizabeth Vogt, and Harrison Ford.
