Mark Rutherford, DVM

Dr. Mark started his career in a mixed animal practice in Kingston with a focus on small animal medicine and surgery. An associate position at a small animal practice followed, also spending time at the Toronto Emergency Clinic and doing large animal locum work. An associate position at an equine referral hospital in British Columbia took Mark to the west coast where he remained for 6 years before moving back to Ontario with his family and opening Rutherford Equine Services in 1999. He has always kept an interest in small animal medicine and surgery and when the opportunity to purchase Kingston Mills Veterinary Hospital in 2018 he knew it was the perfect fit. Dr. Mark continues with his equine practice that focuses on performance horses. (Source)
