Mary Galle, DVM

I am from Menomonee Falls, WI and attended UW-Madison for both undergraduate and veterinary medical school, earning my BS in Animal Science in 2014, and DVM in 2018. During my third and fourth years of veterinary school, I was also enrolled in a veterinary acupuncture program at Chi Institute in Reddick, FL and received my CVA in 2018.

I enjoy all aspects of ambulatory practice, but I am especially interested in sports medicine, reproduction and ophthalmology. I have such an appreciation for the equine athlete and its human teammate, and I love seeing a well deserving pair make their goals a reality. I hope to aid in that process where I am able, and I look forward to celebrating all of your successes in and outside of the arena.

While completing veterinary school, I found myself dissatisfied with how few options there are for safe and effective pain management in horses affected with chronic pain. Looking for another option that I could provide to my patients, I decided to study acupuncture while I was still in veterinary school. I am excited to have started my career with this as an option immediately available to me, combining eastern and western medicine to achieve the highest level of comfort and health for my patients.

Since I was a child, I have enjoyed riding and competing in eventing and dressage. Most recently, I have been focusing solely on dressage, and recently earned my USDF Bronze and Silver Medals on the most handsome little Andalusian cross that I lease. We are keeping the ball rolling, and I look forward to working toward my USDF Silver Bar and debuting the Intermediate 1 in the upcoming show season. When not spending my time with horses, you’ll find me hiking, kayaking and doing anything outdoors with my boyfriend, Kyle, and Redbone Coonhound, Reggie. (Source)
