Dr. Malyk was raised on a farm Northwest of Airdrie, Alberta. He attended the Western College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan where he completed his D.V.M. Upon graduation, he then travelled to California where he completed an equine internship at Pioneer Equine Hospital in Oakdale, California. Here he was able to advance his skills and knowledge in all aspects of equine medicine, especially in his clinical interests of lameness and dentistry. Dr. Malyk then practiced general equine medicine for a year in Southern Alberta before joining Moore Equine. (Source)
