Maureen Cox-Myers

​Maureen began her riding career at age 5 at Pounds’ Stable. As an avid participant in the GHJA circuit, Maureen has ridden and shown under many distinguished trainers and clinicians in the Atlanta area. While attending the University of Georgia, Maureen continued her education with Kat DeMas-Mulkey of Four Season Farms in Madison, GA, and Anne Kenan of Hunter Hill Farm in Gainesville, GA. ​​

​Maureen is a USHJA Certified trainer and combines her 37+ years’ experience with her Equine Science degree to provide the highest level of care and attention to her students. Riders under EIF guidance have won many championships, from first time walk/trot riders through Junior/Amateur Hunters, and they have qualified for GHJA Equitation Medal Finals. EIF students also have earned GHJA year-end awards in Hunters & Equitation as well as respectable ribbons in the GHJA Finals Hunter Classic.

Outside the show ring, Maureen has successfully breed and foaled out mares, started numerous young horses under saddle, and re-schooled the aged horse. She has organized and executed numerous horse shows, and spent many hours in the judge’s seat for the Alabama Hunter Jumper Association, Athens Area Hunter Jumper Association, Lanier Equestrian Association, and Rolling Hills Saddle Club. She has also been a member of the GHJA Education and the GHJA Finals Horse Show committees.
