Dr. Meg Fleischli grew up in California, where she competed in Hunters/Jumpers at the Woodside Horse Park. She traveled eastbound to attend Bucknell University and then continued to Oxford, England to obtain her Masters degree in Primate Conservation. She then attended veterinary school at Kansas State University, and upon graduation in 2017 was awarded the Dennis A. Evans Memorial Scholarship for demonstrating compassion in handling clinical patients. Dr. Fleischli recently completed two equine internships in Kentucky. Her first year focused on Thoroughbred reproduction and internal medicine, while her second year was spent at a clinic specializing in sports medicine, lameness, and surgery in the equine athlete. Dr. Fleischli is also trained in Veterinary Acupuncture through the Chi Institute in Florida. Dr. Fleischli joined Miamitown Equine in 2019.
Dr. Fleischli’s special interests include equine medicine, reproduction, general wellness care, wound management, and holistic medicine including acupuncture and herbal remedies. In her free time, Dr. Fleischli enjoys hiking, exploring the world of yoga, and taking long walks with her dogs Chauncey and Evvia. (Source)
