A native Coloradoan, Dr. Melissa King graduated veterinary school from Colorado State University in 1997. Following an internship at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital, Dr. King was in private practice focusing on equine lameness for 10 years before returning to Colorado State University to pursue a PhD in Biomechanics.
Through her work with underwater treadmill exercise and its role in mitigating the process of osteoarthritis, she has solidified herself as one of the nation’s leading researchers in aqua therapy.
