Dr. Mike Fox grew up in Guymon, Oklahoma. He graduated from Oklahoma State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1982.
He began his career on the racetrack in Raton, New Mexico at La Mesa Park. He spent time at Remington Park and later worked the Trinity Meadows Racetrack near Weatherford, Texas where he later formed ESMS with partners Dr. Marty Ivey and Dr. Steve Hurlbert.
Dr. Fox and his wife Lanae have three children, Sarah, Jonathon and Haley. His primary focus is sports medicine for the racing quarter horse. (Source)
