Dr. Michael Thomassen was born and raised in Atkinson, NE. He attended the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science. He then attended Kansas State University and graduated with a Degree in Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Thomassen joined Nebraska Equine Veterinary Clinic in June 2007 as an associate veterinarian. His medical knowledge, attention to detail and personality allow him to be a successful clinician and help him relate to clients. He is a member of the Nebraska Veterinary Medical Association, the American Association of Equine Practitioners, the American Veterinary Medical Association and holds veterinary licenses in both Nebraska and Iowa.
Dr. Thomassen is married to Dr. Miranda Thomassen, who is a small animal veterinarian in Omaha. They have three sons; Conner, Nolan, and Emmett as well as two daughters; Madelyn and Blaire. (Source)
