Dr. Michelle Beko graduated from U.C. Davis veterinary school in 1991. She completed a private practice internship in Ventura County before joining Empire Equine in 1992. She feels very fortunate to be able to work with horses and their people every day. She also feels privileged to have had the good fortune to be a horse owner herself.
Michelle is currently a member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners as well as the American Veterinary Medical Assocation. She has served on UCD Large Animal External Advisory board as well as the UCD Admissions Committee advisory board. On the local front Michelle teaches a horse health class at the Santa Rosa Junior College and is a Column editor for the Sonoma County Horse Journal.
When not working she enjoys riding and eventing her horse Zeke, hiking, traveling and spending time with her husband and daughter. (Source)
