Dr. Michelle “Shelly” Underwood chose to become a veterinarian in first grade although she misspelled it then. She graduated from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993 and spent 9 years in Tennessee before moving back to Indiana to be closer to family. She really enjoys feline and canine medicine so focuses the majority of work time on matching pets with improved quality of life through preventive care and early identification of disease. On her off days, Shelly and her husband enjoy trail riding with their horses or mountain bikes. They also have several spoiled house cats. (Source)
