Nicolas Gallo, DVM

Nick grew up in Argentina where both his parents practiced veterinary medicine. His father was out on the road tending to large animal calls while his mother ran a small animal clinic located across from their home. He has fond memories of attending to calvings and prolapses with his dad on the weekends or watching his mom do surgeries in the clinic. His family moved to Canada in 1991, after a few years in Quebec, they settled in Guelph, Ontario, where Nick attended high school and eventually graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2000. He started fresh out of school at Eldale Veterinary Clinic and bought into the clinic in 2006 when his mentor and founder of the clinic, Dr. Murrel Bauman retired his partnership share. Nick spends most of his time doing dairy herd health and medicine but also really enjoys equine medicine and reproductive work. Nick is married and has two beautiful daughters who keep him very busy. In his spare time, he enjoys supporting his wife, Colette, who coaches women’s rugby at the University of Guelph and failing miserably at mastering the sport of golf. (Source)
