Rachael G. Shuster, DVM

Having ridden from a young age, I always knew I wanted to work with horses. In 1995, I graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences program of Colorado State University. My first jobs were for various multiple-vet equine ambulatory practices where my interests were lameness, wound management, and podiatry. In 2006, I started my own practice, Shuster Equine, LLC.

Realizing that western medicine is limited in certain protocols, and wanting to increase my diagnostic skills and therapeutic options for patients, I decided to further my education and become certified by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA) in 2002, and the Chi Institute of Chinese Medicine in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) in 2006, in chiropractic and acupuncture respectively.

Shuster Equine encompasses chiropractic, acupuncture, cold-laser therapy (red and blue), and dentistry while keeping in mind the importance of podiatry and western medicine diagnostic and therapeutic opportunities.

I strive to keep an open, one-on-one dialogue with others working with your horse, including your regular veterinarian, farrier, trimmer, trainer, and groom.

I continue to expand my knowledge, furthering my skills in servicing horses to be the best that they can be. Through my ongoing commitment to continued education, I attend multiple professional meetings and one-on-one sessions with colleagues throughout the year. (Source)
