Rich Metcalf, DVM

Dr. Metcalf graduated from North Carolina State University and completed an internship and one year of surgical training at Tryon Equine Hospital. He is a partner at Tryon Equine and an integral part of the management team. Dr. Metcalf focuses on Field Services. From vaccines to dentistry to intense lamenesses and joint injections, Dr. Metcalf strives to take care of the whole horse. He is certified in Acupuncture and spinal manipulation. Dr. Metcalf and his wife Suzanne have four children, Hunter, Smith, Carson and Tallis. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, golf, Hunter Paces with his daughter, and just being outside. He is also an avid cyclist and regularly competes in races. (Source)
