Richard S. Meirs, VMD

Richard S. Meirs, VMD is a 1982 graduate from the Veterinary School at the University of Pennsylvania. After graduation he became an associate of Walnridge Equine Clinic alongside his father, Dr. David A. Meirs, II. He grew up closely involved in the Standardbred racehorse industry, and with the Standardbred breeding farm and equine clinic that his father had founded. Today Dr. Meirs is the the Director ofWalnridge Equine Clinic P.C., and General Manager of Walnridge Farm, Inc. Dr. Meirs’ primary focus in practice is reproductive work with with both stallions and mares, as well as elective surgical procedures, such as arthroscopic surgery, foal orthopedic surgery and upper airway procedures.
