Robert L. Cobb, DVM

Cobb Veterinary Clinic was founded by Dr. Robert L Cobb, who grew up in rural Texas in the small town of Haskell, where his dream of becoming a veterinarian began. When he graduated from Texas A&M University in 1979, he knew he wanted to provide quality veterinary care to those in rural areas and those in the ranch and rodeo world in which he was raised. Upon graduation, an opportunity to work with Dr. Mike Close of Midland was available, and he was eager to get started. He worked with Dr. Close for his first year and then ventured out on his own as a mobile veterinarian in 1980. While working out of his truck, he purchased land and began building the practice, which officially opened in 1982. It started off with the office, large animal exam area and barn, the arena, and one small animal exam room. It also included a small apartment above the clinic where Dr. Cobb lived. (Source)
