Ruth Wilburn, DVM

Without Ruth, none of us would be where we are today. Ruth is the definition of a hard worker, building two successful businesses, Olive Branch Animal Clinic and Rollingwoods Farm (with the help of her sisters). Ruth had a vision of what a good pony should be, and she set out to make that vision a reality, which resulted in the establishment of Rollingwoods Farm. When she began breeding ponies, Ruth learned from anyone and everyone that she could, especially Gail Thompson. Over the years, she has become an expert on Welsh bloodlines and has spent a large amount of time creating what she considers “the perfect pony”. Ruth’s hard work, determination, and dedication have been instrumental in the development of Rollingwoods Farm. Not only does she invest countless hours into her vet clinic and the farm, but as President of the WPCSA, she also invests innumerable hours into the Welsh Pony and Cob Society. Ruth also enjoys showing her Jack Russel Terriers and occasionally produces a litter of JRT puppies. Ruth is always happy to give advice or share stories with anyone willing to listen. Our kids will tell you that, “If you actually listen to Ruthie, you will learn a whole lot!” Along with her widespread knowledge as a breeder, Ruth is also an accomplished driver, winning multiple nation titles every year. We all love to watch Ruth drive and cannot wait to see her and her newest driving pony, Rollingwoods Not Yours, debut this show season.
