Sara Christine Sammons, DVM

Dr. Sara Sammons grew up in Los Angeles County, California showing in hunters and equitation from childhood through her college years. She attended veterinary school at the University of California at Davis and graduated with an equine focus. Dr. Sammons then completed an internship at Littleton Equine Medical Center in Colorado, where she focused on equine lameness and diagnostic imaging. Thereafter, she was accepted into a large animal internal medicine and lameness residency program at Texas A&M University, where she focused on equine sports medicine and diagnostic ultrasound and later became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. Dr. Sammons has also earned her Certification in Veterinary Medical Acupuncture. She is also Certified in Veterinary Chiropractic by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association and became a Certified Equine Rehabilitation Practitioner after completing coursework at the University of Tennessee’s College of Veterinary Medicine. These advanced certifications allow for a unique and educated approach to diagnosis and treatment of equine and small animal injury and illness. (Source)
