Shawn David Frehner, DVM

Dr. Shawn David Frehner was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV. He attended school there till college. He competed in rodeo in High School and also briefly competed in the Pro Rodeo Cowboys Association-PRCA. Dr. Frehner was an avid motorcycle rider and competed offroad in MRAN. He is an avid golfer and once carried a 1.4 handicap. Undergraduate work was done in Utah at BYU. He then completed 4 years and received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine-DVM degree from The Ohio State University in 1997. He then completed a 1 year internship at Pilchuck Veterinary Hospital outside of Seattle, Washington. There he worked with 3 board certified surgeons, 1 board certified medical internist and an Equine Reproduction specialist. In the summer of 1998, Dr. Frehner started his own Ambulatory Equine business in Las Vegas, NV. He is a member of The American Veterinary Medical Association-AVMA and American Association of Equine Practitioners-AAEP. (Source)
