Dr. Stacey Thornton grew up on a small ranch south of Santa Fe. She was very involved in 4-H and enjoyed raising animals to show. She graduated from Moriarty High School before heading down to New Mexico State University where she obtained an animal science degree.
She graduated from Colorado State University in 2004 with a degree in Veterinary Medicine. After graduating, she worked at a mixed animal practice until she had the opportunity to open Western Trails Veterinary Hospital in Edgewood. Dr. Thornton is still involved with 4-H and her kids are starting to raise animals to show. She really enjoys taking her kids for horseback picnics, baking, and reading. (Source)
