Timothy Shane Rutar, DVM

Dr. Rutar received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He attended the University of Wyoming and Arizona State University where he earned a degree in Sports Medicine and a Masters degree in Clinical Biomechanics. Dr. Rutar spent several years working with a team of physicians focused on implementing anatomically specific surgical simulations which could be used to provide better surgical decision making capabilities. He is a published author and a member of many professional organizations including the American Association of Equine Practioners and is a past qualifier to the College National Finals Rodeo. His professional interests include equine orthopaedics, internal medicine, surgery, sports medicine, equine dentistry, gait analysis, and radiology/lameness evaluation in the equine athlete.
