Wanda Ray Thompson, DVM

Dr. Wanda Thompson, one of our Co-Chiefs of Staff, grew up in Danielsville, GA and currently resides in Eastanollee, GA. She received an undergraduate degree from Berry College in Rome, GA, earned a DVM degree from the University of Georgia, and joined Royston Animal Hospital in 1991. Her special interests include large animal-equine, cattle, pigs, and small ruminants.

Outside of the practice, Dr. Thompson enjoys spending time with her family, horseback riding, hiking, and fishing. She cares for four horses, four dogs, three cats, and ten chickens at home.

Dr. Thompson served ten years in the Georgia Army National Guard as the logistics officer for a MASH unit and during this time she also went through paratrooper training. (Source)
