Wesley Paul Violet, DVM

Dr. Wes Violet grew up on a farm in northwestern Ohio where he owned horses and raised beef cattle. His veterinary training included an externship in Ocala, Florida, with an emphasis on equine medicine and surgery. The practice served many Thoroughbred and Arabian farms in the area. After receiving a BS in Microbiology, he graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1981. Dr. Violet’s areas of interest are equine reproduction, lameness diagnosis and treatment, and equine medicine and surgery. He has extensive experience in equine pre-purchase evaluation and has received additional training in embryo transfer, acupuncture, and dentistry. He has been a career-long member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and their four horses. (Source)
