Doctor Billy is a native New Mexican. Born into a ranching family and raised in Roswell, he also ranched cattle and sheep for 10 years between his undergraduate studies in business (at Eastern New Mexico University and New Mexico State), and attaining his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Colorado State University, (one of the top three Vet schools in the US).
