Dr. W. Kurt Heite grew up in New Mexico, working on a ranch. He attended under graduate studies at New Mexico State University, pursuing an Animal Science degree. Following in his father’s footsteps, who also pursued a career in Veterinary medicine, he attended Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating in 1996, he spent 1 year practicing on the race track . He then moved to Tomball Texas, to pursue his Sports Medicine career. (Source)

Dr. Heite is a great vet. He is not only great with horses, but great with their owners too. He always takes as much time as needed. You never get the feeling he is rushing to the next patient. His vet techs are also very good. You can see that he has carefully trained them as well.
