Equine Turnout Practices Research Study
Earn up to $20 in Mad Barn store credits and a chance to win $1000 in products when you participate in our survey on horse turnout practices in North America.

We’re collaborating with Dr. Katrina Merkies, PhD and Alessia Masini (MSc Candidate) at the University of Guelph to conduct a research study on equine management practices in North America. This project will survey horse owners to better understand pasture management decision making and the nutrition horses receive during turnout.
To make this survey study possible, we need your help! Please complete the research questionnaire linked below. As a token of our appreciation, you’ll receive up to a $20 store credit for Mad Barn.
Why Your Participation Matters

- Identify prevailing trends in equine turnout and management
- Assess how these practices influence diet composition and equine well-being
- Develop evidence-based recommendations for owners and professionals
