In 1978, John and Karen Vehlow opened Hi-Sage Morgans and developed it into a top Morgan Horse breeding facility. They went on to produce Grand National Champion Morgan horses before retiring from the breeding business. Today, they still own a small band of Morgans for pleasure and trail riding.
On any given day, you can find Karen and John around the farm feeding, grooming arenas, moving hay, performing farm maintenance, chatting with a boarder, or giving a horse a fond pat. (Source)
