Corey Harms, DVM

Dr. Corey Harms grew up in Southern California among the orange orchards. He attended veterinary school at the University of California, Davis, where he graduated with honors. After veterinary school, Dr. Harms completed an internship at Loomis Basin Equine Medical Center, then stayed on as an associate and practiced in the Penn Valley area for a number of years.

Dr. Harms joined Sierra Oaks in 2022 as chief of Equine Services. Professionally, Dr. Harms enjoys the wide variety of general equine practice, and finds special interest in wound management and the early diagnosis and treatment of disease. He is also involved in endurance rides, rodeos, and horse shows in Northern California.

Dr. Harms lives with his wife, Rebecca, and three children in Penn Valley, where they enjoy the wonderful community and natural beauty of Nevada County. He enjoys camping and hiking with his family, spending time with his horse and dog, playing music, exploring the Sierras by motorcycle, and tinkering in the garage. (Source)
