Dana Hirsch, DVM

My name is Dr. Dana Hirsch and I graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, located in St. Kitts, West Indies. For my last year of vet school, I was placed at the University of Minnesota in St. Paul. I focused my studies on the production of animal medicine, though I love to work with any animal that comes my way. As the clinic grows, I have become more focused on Equine Medicine to cater to the large horse population in Southwestern Minnesota.

I’m originally from Maryland but have moved around a lot since high school. I fell in love with the Midwest during my clinical year at the U, so naturally, I wanted to stay here. I live in St. James with my husband, daughter, 2 dogs, 2 horses, and 2 cats. On the weekends, I get to ride my horses, or I get to go hiking to breathe some fresh air.

I recently purchased the vet clinic from Dr. Ellis and I’m excited to help the business grow and continue to be the practice that our clients enjoy. I hope you will come to see me at the St. James Vet Clinic, so I can assist you and your pet in whatever way I can.
