Fred B. Robinson, Jr., DVM

Dr. Fred Robinson Jr. grew up in southeastern Oregon, playing basketball in high school and working for a local cattle rancher. Between this experience and time spent with his grandparents in Hermiston, he developed a love of horses and cattle and the lifestyles associated with them. This is what shaped his decision to attend Washington State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2003.

Following graduation he joined the practice, bringing with him a passion for horses and cattle, developing large animal services. He has a special interest in lameness, dentistry, reproduction, sport horse medicine and herd health.

His wife of 24 years teaches math at the local middle school and they have two boys. Among the rest of the family you’ll find 9 horses, 5 dogs and a cat. They are active in the Pendleton Swim Association, Pendleton High School swimming (their oldest is on the competitive team) and enjoy being outdoors skiing, riding horses in cutting competitions, trail riding.

Dr. Robinson also enjoys public speaking, is an avid bow hunter and has a passion for triathlon and is member of the 2020 Wattie Ink Hit Squad. Look for him around the Pendleton area as he trains for his upcoming races. Having qualified for US Age Group Nationals Olympic Triathlon, he is hoping to perform well enough to qualify for the Age Group World Championship to be held in Bermuda next year. (Source)
