About Jennifer A. Tacia, DVM

Hello! I’m Jennifer Tacia.

I’ve been practicing veterinary medicine in Southern Maryland since 2002. Through the years I’ve had the pleasure of working with so many wonderful animals and people, each one has taught me something. I use every bit of this knowledge and experience every day to help my patients be their most healthy selves.

I received an excellent veterinary medical education at Michigan State University. In addition to that I’ve completed advanced courses and earned certifications in Veterinary Acupuncture at The Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine in Reddick, Fl. and Veterinary Medical Manipulation as well as Equine Rehabilitation and Performance Medicine from the Integrative Veterinary Medical Institute in Reddick, Fl.

When I treat a patient I use a holistic approach. This means I treat the whole animal, not just the one part that may be a problem today. My approach is also integrative. This means I integrate the medical techniques and principles I learned in vet school (Western Veterinary Medicine) with the less invasive and more holistic techniques like acupuncture (Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine).

I love helping people provide the very best care for their pets. Please check out the information in this website or send me a message if you have any questions or would like to set up an appointment. (Source)

I highly recommend Dr Tacia . Combining both western and traditional Chinese veterinary medicine give the best of both worlds. She always leaves you with things you can do at home to help your animal on a daily basis. I have used her for both our dogs and horses. They just love her. She takes the time to interact with the animal and to listen to them.
