Dr. Kate joined the Sunrise Equine team in October of 2020. She graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2010 and completed an internship and residency in Large Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Minnesota as well. She went on to also complete a master’s degree focused on llamas and alpacas. She has developed special interests with infectious diseases, gastrointestinal problems, such as chronic diarrhea, ophthalmology, and metabolic disorders.
Dr. Kate grew up riding in a variety of English disciplines, and is again looking forward to getting back into it now that she has moved out of the city. She lives in North Branch with her son and their pet sheep named Turkey. Together they enjoy hiking, riding bike, and are currently working on training Turkey to carry a pack! (Source)
