Katelyn Washart, DVM

Dr. Washart is a graduate of Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a South Jersey native and was born and raised in Seaville, NJ. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biology and Environmental Science at Washington College in Chestertown, MD, followed by earning a Master of Science in Veterinary Biomedicine at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, TN. She continued on for veterinary school at LMU.

Dr. Washart’s lifelong passion for horses started at 11 years old, when she began taking lessons at a local farm. She then joined Cape May County 4-H where she actively participated in the county fair and equine science teams. In college, as president of the IHSA team, she actively competed for both the Hunt Seat and Western teams. Today, she and her Quarter Horse gelding “George” actively compete together in the all-around events on the AQHA circuit. In her free time, Dr. Washart enjoys spending time at the beach with her Golden Retriever Jackson.

Dr. Washart’s interests include wellness medicine, sports medicine and dentistry. Dr. Washart is passionate about client education and helping horse owners give their partners the best care possible. She values a strong relationship with her clients and patients and hopes to keep these values at the forefront of her practice as she begins her career at Pinewood Equine.
